The A.L. Fortune Toonie Tuesday event raised a grand total of $52.70 ($10 from Aggie), which is not a large amount (I do not remember last year's total amount), but still better than nothing. I feel with some better advertising, and more overall school involvement, the amount could have been increased, as many students did not pay at all.
As an added fundraising endeavor, we facilitated a Halloween movie (Nightmare before Christmas) in the theater at lunch, with a suggested donation of $2. Very few people actually paid for the movie, although the turnout was twice as large as I was expecting. Due to technical difficulties, my laptop, along with a school laptop couldn't connect to the WiFi, so a huge thanks to Anika Pobuda for saving the day by lending us her laptop for the two lunchtimes. We may now do some other things at lunch attempting at making the lunch hour (1/2 hour) more fun, although trying to turn them into fundraisers may be difficult.
